Nookk Crews have been busy starting the New Year with a new collaboration!

Nookak's first collaborative partner in 2024 is "Hive."

Let's talk about the collaboration with Hive that makes your heart pound just by the name!

What's left after the performance.

The first meeting with Hive was on February 10 last year. It's already been a year.

"I'm worried about what's left after the fan meeting or performance". 🤔

We talked about many things, but in my head, it was a word from the Hive manager.

After many discussions, Nookkak and Hive will be able to capture the memories of artists and fans.

I started a project to recreate.

Instead of discarding or burning the banner containing key visuals after the performance, the moment of meeting between fans and artists

What's more meaningful than creating a medium to remember and keep for longer, ♻

Let us remember the moment of meeting. Longer, deeper.

Through various discussions, BTS, SEVENTEEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN, LESSERAFIM

We decided to use a total of 5 teams' fan meetings and performance banners.

first of all,

Collect and process banners.

The start of the project is to gather what's left behind.

It was to see how much we could use.

It's late at night after the concert, no, around dawn.

I think I went to Jamsil Sports Complex once a month.

I had to collect the banners from the backstage where the lights were turned off.

Check the graphics of the banners that have been collected,

I'll pick out the parts that I can use.

(Is there any contamination? Is there any tear?)

It went through a cleaning process.

It's a side note but the 23-year-old BTS FESTA banner, KeyVisual, has a design.

I thought it went really well. 👍

Using color, maybe? Looking at the lyrics of the members' handwriting, I wanted to quickly work on it and put it on the product.

Let's try a design that keeps memories.

Through this collaboration, we released a total of four items, but the model that we thought a lot about was by far the messenger.

1. When fans receive the product, they think of the artist they support.

2. There should be no functional deficiencies in payment.

3. I wanted to make a bag that can last a long time in real life.

So, the design consideration factors and production principles organized by the Nookk Design Team

- Pattern design that can stand out with any banner graphic

- Maximum durability implemented with coated banners

- I want to be able to put a photo card of my favorite artist.

- You can put a key ring of your favorite artist on the outside of your bag.

- Lastly, use the most upcycling materials, but use the least general materials only for parts that have functional limitations.

We followed these design elements and principles and went through sample work for about two months.

Usually, up to the final sample is made by hand, but in the process, the sample master Ben of Nookkak worked really hard.

On the front panel, a separate keyring ring for the messenger decoration was placed left and right, and the collaboration logo between the artist and Nookkak was placed at the bottom.

I can't see it in the picture, but I also added a zipper pocket considering the fast storage line from the outside.

The inside is composed of asymmetric pockets and transparent windows for photo card storage for additional storage.

As for the interior color, I chose gray, which is neither liked nor contaminated as much as possible.

I don't use it well in Nookk, but I also added an external top handle for the messenger to increase usability.

There was a lot of tension.

Design team, MD team, etc.

It was the first time I saw the product and felt it.

I seriously open every corner of the product and exchange questions.

It's been a creative process.

It was a time when fans naturally imagined wearing the product.

After that, the final product design with crew feedback was completed.

After that, final mass production was completed through the process of cutting, collecting, cutting, sewing, and trimming.

Five artists, four items.

1. BTS

Package design was conceived at the same time as designing the product.

Nookak BX Team Goro worked on it, and from the designer's point of view, the core of the Hive collaboration package is

It was the clearest demonstration of the two things: "What to collaborate on" + "What the raw materials and what the objects are made of."

Since there are many artist logos of various types and designs,

Industrial reports, etc. that can be applied in most situations, not to be grouped into a specific concept.

He said he was inspired in part by his graphic style.

Goro's blood, sweat, and tears.

I wanted to make the package box-shaped and make it feel like a gift for the person who opens it, and I designed a structure that does not use plastic tape other than paper boxes by taking advantage of the purpose of the project.

In addition, the artist, item information, and project process were iconized and explained outside the package.

This is designed so that there is no need to print unnecessary packages or leaflets.

Making film and logistics work

I've collaborated on many things at Nookk, but this time, I wanted to make a making film that tells the whole story of the project.

It was about collecting banners and capturing the process of designing the product, which was a minute-long video, but it took a lot of time and effort to prepare it.

In this collaboration with Hive, the marketing/communication manager who performed the hard tasks such as planning the making film, managing the filming, and communicating well. :)

Nookak Sample Master Ben, he said his back hurt from filming all day.

I also participated in the video briefly, and the husky voice at the beginning of the video is me.

I did it myself because I wanted to show my authenticity, even though it's clumsy than professional narration! (lack of budget)

The last scene was filmed in the Kasa of Seongsu, and the collaboration product placed in the Kasa looked so pretty.

To the fans.

Now, before we go to the fans, we only have the last gate, logistics work left.

Of course, we could hire an outsourcing company and pack it, but

By artist, by item, different boxings were needed and packed.

At the same time, the use of outsourcing companies seemed too risky in a situation where QC had to be conducted.

For a little over a week, the Nookk crew packed themselves, and for a while, our office was full of boxes.

I went through two and three QC processes while looking at the finished products.

As I was working on it, I found a product using a banner for the Le Seraphim fan meeting, and when I scanned the QR, I found an Instagram story cover.

I'm so tired of packing. I'm sorry.

the conclusion of a year-long project

This long, long year-long project has been completed.

During the six to seven months of the project,

I collected about 0.507 tons of banners.

While upcycling this, it's 0.149 tons.

It prevented unnecessary carbon emissions.

It's a number that's realistic and looks like it's small,

As these activities of Nookk accumulate, I think we can make a bigger environmental impact.

Lastly, I couldn't mention it because I didn't have a picture.
